(6/20/09) Sadly, the Year's Best Fantasy and Horror series ended last year, but Gardner Dozois' Year's Best Science Fiction is still going. He's given honorable mentions to nine of the eighteen stories in Mike Allen's first Clockwork Phoenix anthology, and "A Mask of Flesh" is one of them. (6/11/09) Talebones has bought my dark fairy-tale retelling "The Snow-White Heart" for their thirty-ninth issue. (5/10/09) Keen to read more Onyx Court fiction, before In Ashes Lie hits the shelves? I've posted a novella called Deeds of Men here on my site for readers to download. (5/1/09) Big news, and I'm very excited to announce it: the Onyx Court series will be continuing for two more books, set in 1759 and 1870, respectively. (4/9/09) A sale from earlier this year goes live: you can now read "Driftwood" at Beneath Ceaseless Skies. (3/1/09) A good start to the month: waking up to find I have sold "Salt Feels No Pain" to Paradox Magazine. (2/20/09) Two pieces of news, utterly unrelated except they both have to do with my writing: In Ashes Lie has been picked up by the Science Fiction Book Club as a main selection, and "Tower in Moonlight" has just sold to Shroud Magazine. |
(6/18/09) I've collected my monthly SF Novelists posts into the Craft and Philosophy sections of this site. (5/25/09) Like music? Check out the soundtrack for In Ashes Lie. (4/30/09) The last of the Ashes excerpt is up. Read about the first day of the Fire, or start at the beginning. (4/23/09) In honor of the third International Pixel-Stained Technopeasant Day, I've posted for free all of my short fiction from 2006 and earlier. (4/22/09) If you've read Midnight Never Come, you may enjoy the comparison between it and the game it's based on. (If you haven't read the book, stay away: spoilers like whoa.) (4/15/09) I can has fan art! I've linked Mark Satchwill's lovely portrait of Lune on the pages for MNC and IAL. |
